A different type of training and education is the vocational one SCCT provides for the local youth. SCCT signed an agreement with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AAST) and the Port Training Institute (PTI) to provide training for the youth of Port Said city to enable them to work in the fields of ports and logistics.

Under the agreement, SCCT offers a one-year training program to 136 fresh graduates from Port Said and North Sinai. 2015 started with celebrating the success an important project that will promote and enrich SCCT resources, as 89 trainees were appointed at the terminal. A 2nd batch is being trained.
